The shoutbox has been removed because it's slowing down the site too much. It's a big strain on the server that PMW is hosted on because if you didn't notice, the shoutbox "refreshes" every 3 seconds to show all the new messages/shouts. Now, what makes PMW slow is that there are always members online, and the shoutbox refreshes every 3 seconds for everyone that's online.
I'm on broadband and PMW is already slow. I can only imagine how slow it would be for anyone that's on dialup.
So.. what now?
Well.. I've decided to make a chatroom instead. The link on the top loads in a new window, so whenever you click on it, you can be on PMW and in the chatroom at the same time.
Since the chatroom isn't on the forum, and is on a separate page, it doesn't slow down the forum.
I thought this would be the best solution rather than no chatroom/shoutbox at all.
Feedback:
Well, I know not everyone will like it, but I would've had to remove the shoutbox eventually.
Any feedback appreciated though.
Just to let you know, I didn't want to do this, I know alot of people use the shoutbox, but I had to.

yeah, I think they do, but I don't think they have as much people online, so it doesn't really slow them down.
